The Birch Walk meadow this week: white Star of Bethlehem, Ox-eye daisies and the end of white alliums. 🌾 This type of gardening is so much fun & less stress. You can make an annual meadow out of a seed mix, or you can use an assortment of perennials, bulbs, annuals and self-sowers as in this space to make a colorful carpet that changes from winter to fall. The progress through the seasons is one the the things that is special about a garden. Unlike plastic plants, real plants put out Young then mature foliage, loads and then sporadic blooms and they begin to calm down and go to seed. Its good if we can learn to embrace and not fight all of these parts of life, and enjoy our plants too. 🌱😉
